| AGILITY DOG of the YEAR

Deauxquest It's My Turn to Shine CDX AXJ OA OF CCA ![]() Sparkle is an amazing Golden Retriever. She is energetic, athletic and beautiful. She is without a doubt - the most fun golden I have ever had the privilege to love. She was a challenge the first two years -- and I never thought we would be in an obedience ring or on an agility course. It was not until I learned to laugh at Sparkle that I truly began to appreciate her ability to succeed. It has been with the wonderful training provided by Gail Waller that I have learned to truly appreciate Sparkle's speed on a course and if you get in her way - she quickly barks loudly to tell you to get out of the way. I truly believe that there is a point in training where you become a team with your golden -- Sparkle just turned five and we are becoming a team - she still has a bit more to do to train me to be where I need to be for her to succeed, but we are having fun together. My husband would like to rename her - "Ready - Set - Go" because that is what she always is. She has certified to enter tracking tests with my husband and hopefully will have her UD title in Obedience in the next month or so. Thank you to Dee and John Thibodeaux for trusting me to train and love - Sparkle, owned and very much loved by Robin. |

| Tracking Dog
of the YEAR - Ron & Luci Seeley CT Meadowpond All The Rite Stuff, UDX, RA On January 10, 2010 Ron and Gus passed
the Variable Surface Tracking Test to become the first Champion
Tracker for the year and only the 27th Golden Retriever to do so.
They say you fail towards success and that is what they did as each
time they failed we would go out and train some more. We want to
thank Cherie Berger for choosing this amazing animal to share our
lives with. They say, "be careful what you name your dog," but in
this case Gus certainly lives up to his name. CT Meadowpond All The

SHOW Dog of the Year![]() We purchased Cody from Cindi Metcalf (Gemini Goldens). I wanted a dog that could just win his class here and there. Boy that was an understatement! In his first show, and my daughters first show, Ocala 2007, they won a major reserve under judge Frank Sabella. Well he took off from there winning Best Puppy at the Everglades GRC Specialty, BISS in the Mid Florida Specialty, BOSS at the 2008 National. He finished his Championship at just 21 months with 2 Majors on the Florida Circuit, January 2009. He was ranked number 10 Golden Retriever in 2010 All Breed. He also attended the 2010 Top 20 Gala at the National. He received a Judges Award of Excellence at the Eukanuba National Championship in December 2010. In this first month of January 2011, he is currently ranked number 1 Golden Retriever in the nation after winning a Best in Show on the Florida Circuit and a few Group 1's prior. He will be at the Westminster Dog Show coming up in NYC. More than his show accomplishments he is just the sweetest and resiliant dog. He has done numerous photo shoots for Ralph Lauren, commercials for Pet Supermarket, and more. Every where he goes he is greatly loved. He is a gentle soul and up for anything! Thank you to Cindi Metcalf and Barbara Tucker for breeding this amazing boy. He is our heart dog and we feel so lucky to have him. Also, thankyou to his handlers that have taken him this far. They are Courtney Roxby, Tigger Hahn, Janice Granda and Jane Myers. |

| Rally Dog
Award- Debbie Finch Lambert's Golden Katie June CD RAE CGC ![]() Katie is the first dog I’ve ever owned or even lived with. She started out as my roommate’s puppy. However, one night at obedience class, when our trainer was introducing us to a new event called Rally, my roommate held out Katie’s leash and said “Why don’t you run her through the course?” hoping to get me to bond more closely with Katie. Katie reached out and wrapped her paws around my heart, and since then I have shown Katie many times in Rally and traditional obedience. Katie has taught me so much, and with her sweet gentle disposition, she has been the perfect “First Dog”. Submitted by Debbie Finch |

Versatility
Award - Robin Scott KnightDrmz Memories of Moonlight ![]() Hanna is from the very first litter I ever bred which was dedicated to Joanna Bedford and Moonlight Goldens. Joanna gave me my very first Golden and is solely responsible for getting me to fall in love with the breed, so it was only proper to dedicate the first litter I bred -- to Joanna, hence her name 'Memories of Moonlight'. Hanna is a very soft golden - and tries so very hard to be right. She does not want to disappoint and requires very positive training. She has the most gentle disposition and is almost submissive to a fault. She is easy to train - and learns exercises very quickly, but stresses in competition and is far better in training - aren't they all? This year, earning her Open Obedience title, her Open Agility titles, almost earning her Excellent Standard Agility title, along with the CCA, after having a litter of puppies of her own -- was just beyond my goal for her. Hanna is working on her achieving the remaining Q's to complete the Excellent agility titles while also traing to compete in Utility in Obedience, but is taking time off from tracking for a while to build confidence. |
